Chester Bennington, a multi-talented person, is best known as the lead vocalist of the American rock band Linkin Park. His powerful and emotive vocals and the combination of the band’s unique fusion of rock, hip-hop, and electronic music, made Linkin Park one of the most popular and influential rock bands of the 21st century.
If listen to Linkin Park’s most popular song called ‘Numb’, you’ll feel all the energy, effort, and power of Chester. It happens to us most of the time that we can not say or do what we want to. We can not scream and spill out inner voice. That’s where Chester came and sang those angelic songs with his devil’s voice.
Bennington had created hope for those who felt like lost, aimless, and confined, and still people are listening to his melodically enhancing voice to cheer their souls up.
Bennington’s personal struggles with addiction, depression, and trauma were often reflected in his lyrics, adding an emotional depth and authenticity to the band’s music that resonated with millions of fans around the world. Despite his untimely death in 2017, Chester Bennington’s legacy and impact on the music industry continue to inspire and influence artists and fans alike, making him an icon of rock and roll history.
If I had the chance to write a letter or text him, it would’ve been like:
“Chester Bennington, you’ve been here way before my birth. But you are the only person in this world who cares about me, motivates, nurtures, and guides me to have faith in myself. You made me believe that I am not the only one to have these thoughts in my mind. I don’t know about the afterlife if you were alive, I would’ve dedicated myself to you. I’m dedicating my soul to you.”
Recently, Linkin Park released a new album named “Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) “. It is the 20th-anniversary celebratory release of Linkin Park’s second album Meteora. It was released on April 7, 2023, and Recorded in April – December 2002 timeline.
The First song of this album was “Lost” which was voiced by Chester Bennington during the time of the release of ‘The Meteora album.
Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) is basically composed of the original Meteora studio album, the full Live In Texas live album, the full performance at Nottingham from 2003, a compilation of live tracks released during the Meteora era titled Live Rarities 2003-2004, a compilation of LPU studio tracks and Meteora demos titled LPU Rarities 2.0, a demo CD featuring previously unreleased demos, a DVD featuring The Making Of Meteora, The Art Of Meteora and a new documentary Work In Progress, two DVDs with Linkin Park’s full performances at Veterans Stadium and Seoul from 2003 and at Live In Manila 2004 and Live In Denver – Projekt Revolution from 2004. This massive collection sums up to a total of 89 tracks which is a blessing for Linkin Park fanbase.
