  • The Sundarbans, Khulna: The Sundarbans are a huge mangrove forest in the Khulna division of Bangladesh and it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Bangladesh and the best tourist attraction in our country.

 

You can get a unique and thrilling experience, and also explore something new from this place. For example, you may get a glimpse of the Royal Bengal Tiger. The Sundarbans is a network of tidal waterways, mudflats, and salt-tolerant mangrove forests. The network of the waterways can be explored by boat. 

 

There are also a lot of species of birds, chital, crocodiles and beautiful deer. So you can visit the Sundarbans for a long adventure or a short week trip to enjoy the magnificent scenery. 

 

  • Ratargul Swamp Forest, Sylhet : 

Ratargul Swamp Forest in Sylhet is a popular tourist spot where you can explore by boat. Most of the forest tourists visit this forest by boat during the monsoon season. It’s about 26 km away from Sylhet and is unique because it’s one of the few freshwater swamp forests in the world. There are at least 73 species of plants that can be found in the forest now. The forest is covered with an umbrella of trees. 

 

You can experience the boat ride that feels like you’re under a giant umbrella of trees. Since this is a water-drowned forest there are snakes widely seen in the forest. This is a wonderful place to connect with nature.

 

  • Rema-Kalenga, Habiganj : 

 

Rema-Kalenga is a dry and evergreen forest in Bangladesh. It’s located in the Chunarughat of Habiganj district and the distance is 130 km from Dhaka. This is one of the natural forests in Bangladesh. This forest is rich in rare species of plants and animals.

 

The forest is also well known for a variety of rare bird species like parrots, red-whiskered bulbul, red jungle fowl, hill myna, etc. There are also trails in the forest. 

 

There is also a beautiful lake and watchtower next to the lake. Because of the natural charm of the forest, Rema-Kalenga is a captivating forest. People also go camping since it’s the ideal camping spot in Bangladesh, take proper preparations for your safe journey.

 

  • Lawachara National Park, Moulvibazar : 

 

Lawachara National Park is located at Kamalganj Upazila, Moulvibazar. It is also the second-largest evergreen rainforest in the Sylhet division. 

 

The forest of Lawachara has mixed types of evergreen. There is also wildlife and various species like capped langur, barking deer, wild boar, etc. There are also trails in the forest like Rema-Kalinga. 

 

There are about eighteen villages near Lawachara. The forest of Lawachara will let you enjoy the richness of nature. It’s a journey into the heart of nature’s wonders.

 

  • Khadimnagar National Park, Sylhet:

 

To enjoy the beautiful nature of the forests, Khadimnagar National Park should be on your list of choices. This park is nature’s lover’s paradise in the northeastern region of Bangladesh.

 

It’s located in Sylhet Sadar Upazila, Sylhet District. There are also various species of plants. There is a variety of flora and rare fauna. You’ll find well-marked trails within the forest, and it will be a great idea to hire a local guide. You can take a walk in the trails and the soothing sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves make visitors enveloped.
