Bangladesh has a 78% literacy rate, based on the latest estimates. According to studies, things are going to get worse if educational attainment continues at its current rate. It will require an additional 44 years to acquire the basic level of reading and writing in Bangladesh and 78 years to reach an intermediate level. In the Republic of Bangladesh, good education has long been an issue. About 51% of the population remains uneducated, with child labor, the practice of child marriage, and our population’s rapid expansion being the key causes.

Lack of Skilled Teachers and Technology

Talented instructors are in high demand throughout several towns and cities, but there aren’t sufficient jobs and there is a significant shortage of professional educators. Aside from the difficulty in attracting and keeping qualified instructors, a lack of information technology facilities has taken on an integral part in denying good learning to students living in remote regions.

A Gap of Technology and People

The majority of internet engagement uses chat messages and digital devices that demand or rely on the capacity to write down and convey thoughts. But what happens to people in communities with poor reading levels?

5 Effective Ways of E-Learning

So, how do you develop interesting e-learning experiences? In this blog, we’ll offer five successful e-learning ideas for creating learning programs that will pique our learners’ curiosity. In this way, we inspire and motivate them, regardless of their background.

  1. Simple words: make written materials accessible.

We have to use normal language and, if feasible, even the use of local dialects to close the communication gap. We can use visuals to help convey meaning too. It is critical to avoid terminology that could be viewed as patronizing, such as praising literacy-deprived people as ‘brave’ or ‘inspirational’.  We can use uppercase letters, big bold texts, and underlined words to help them understand writing.

  1. Use of interactive video and audio files.

We can use brief, enjoyable videos. For these learning sessions, we can utilize conversational video and audio recordings. To emphasize audience literacy, we can include having conversations/audio with a somewhat slower rhythm in media. We can also use audible versions of video, if feasible.

  1. Emphasizing images rather than texts

We can use visuals, diagrams, and charts to aid in making knowledge more understandable. Image captions should be brief. Rather than using tables,  we can use data visualization.

  1. Keeping e-learning sessions coordinated.

We have to arrange e-learning materials, which is critical for providing a rewarding atmosphere for learning. Planning our lesson plans can help us avoid mental overload, which stops adult low-literate people from participating and focusing on important information.

We have to try using action mappings to arrange and disperse our content in an ordered manner to improve information retention. Well-planned content for learning not only helps our pupils absorb course material more easily and quickly but also enables us to deliver knowledge in efficient methods that correspond to our e-learning objectives.

  1. Giving folks the opportunity for involvement at their particular time.

We can organize our community participation activities on a 24/7 digital platform. We can give them written assignments for anything. In both circumstances, the community has the opportunity to absorb the information without the pressure of time. They may use their own time learning new topics. They can sort it out in a relaxed, low-pressure setting.

Our country’s literacy rate can be increased by joint efforts. We have to make peer-to-peer effective communication with our depraved communities.
