Our craving to buy fancy products to make the home elite increases daily. As a result, we spoil our environment and money as well. Looking around we can see, that using products such as plastic has a huge impact on our environment – throwing plastic into water causes water pollution, harm to water-living lives, and air too. There is a research paper published on microplastic, small plastic particles in size 0.2 inches, are found everywhere: humans, the atmosphere, water, and living animals as it takes a long time to dissolve so it stay in. Therefore, by breathing and consuming food microplastic enters our body and causes some serious causes. We also know that global warming leads to a rapid carbon footprint. The effect is noticeable in our eyes but we are unaware of it because of improving our lifestyle with those fancy products.

I know, we cannot diminish it by one night but we can by making small changes in our daily life. Hence we are incentivized for our environmental impact, so we are solely the solution. By exchanging day-to-day life for greener we can achieve a sustainable life. Here are six easy swaps to make your life sustainable.

Swap your water bottle
We always carry water bottles to drink water and hydrate ourselves. We mostly use plastic bottles for that but once a time we throw them away. If we use a water bottle made of glass, we would use it for a long time and also it’s reusable. Once you buy a reusable water bottle, it’s best to use a glass one. By doing that, we could reduce our spending money and save it later.

Transportation
We require transportation to go to our destination, right? On our journey, we face traffic congestion, that irritating horn blasting your eardrum, and the smell of burning fuel which contaminates the air. Can you relate to this? Well, I hope so. But don’t worry, there is a hope to reduce it. In our modern era, riding services like Uber, Pathao, and more are often available. Instead of using public or private transportation, we could do that. Yeah, I know it sounds a bit costly but it’s worth it to save our planet. We also would use bicycles instead. Hence it’s a non-fuel vehicle so that we can save our renewable energy for later also cycling is a sort of exercise that helps to develop our health.

LED Light
Led light is useful for saving electricity. As we use normal bulbs that contain toxic substances like mercury, lead, and ultraviolet rays, apart from that it needs more energy to produce more luminous. It has no harmful rays like ultraviolet rays or substances. Moreover, it gives brighter than normal light instant with less power.

Rechargeable battery
Battery like pencil battery aid to conduct our electrical stuff. Usually, these dry cells contain a variety of heavy metals and other chemicals like cadmium, copper, nickel, zinc, manganese, or lithium. When we throw it away in soil, surface, and groundwater its chemicals begin to dissolve so that air, water, and soil become contaminated. Thus, adulterating the food we eat or the air we inhale, causing public health. Using a rechargeable battery is likely to save you time, and money from buying a non-rechargeable battery. It might cost you extra but it gives an extra benefit.

Kitchen swaps
The most adorable place in our home’s kitchen, am I right? The delicious food is cooked there by our mothers. We make small mistakes there by cooking such as not covering dishes while cooking, using plastics, and stealing tools. Produced fumes that have carbon dioxide while cooking raise the temperature of the atmosphere. Using steel tools becomes rusting and turns into waste. Applying some precautions will be useful in it, for instance, covering dishes or better using a pressure cooker instead, and kitchen tools that are made from wood can be used.

Grocery bags
This is the most common thing – plastic bags- we regularly carry to keep our grocery stuff. Those one-time plastic bags have a detrimental effect on our environmental issues. Instead, we would degradable bags that are light, rigid, and keep your food fresh and reusable. Degradable bags are available now. Although it costs you some but will give you a sustain.

As our unawareness destroys our planet. Our next generation probably will suffer a lot from our deeds. So it’s high time to think about it and most importantly work on it to return to our planet life.
