Sometimes we feel emptiness within ourselves. Most people don’t even comprehend that they are empty within and have some kind of void.
The problem is that we are disconnected from the entire universe, from the people around us. We feel lonely and isolated. But usually, people avoid talking about it. So they just keep themselves engaged or busy with something. That could be work, that could be content, or that could be anything. No matter where people are living, whether in Paris, America, or any part of the globe, people are trying to fill themselves up in different ways. But nobody is successful. Because there is no happiness and mindfulness in us.
Well, you need to ask yourself again and again, “Why am I suffering? You need to find the root problem, then try to fix it in a gentle way.
Every human being is suffering. No matter how much they have, how much they have achieved. But deep down everybody is suffering. Why?
Because we are not satisfied with what we have. We need more and more. Our demand has no boundaries. When we get something, we want more and more, no matter what. And if we don’t get that stuff, we become sad. Undoubtedly, this brings a bad effect on our lives.
Here are some tips on how we can overcome this situation and get out of it. Here are some bullet points :
- Make connections with people you like.
- Avoid the people you don’t like.
- Don’t bother too much about anyone’s life.
- Focus on your life.
- Don’t make an argument on valueless things.
- Be grateful for everything.
- Always show gratitude.
- Thinking Positive things.
- Give yourself more time.
- Don’t compare yourself with others.
- Embrace nature.
- Tend to help others.
- Be Kind.
First of all, when you feel something is lacking in your life, you should watch people around you who belong to a lower state than you. Then look and observe them, you will find out that you have so many things which they don’t get in their life. Then you will feel luckier than them and you will find something peaceful in your inner self. Let me clear this more with a short story :
A boy was sitting in his Mercedes car and saw that a man was landing in his own helicopter. Then the Mercedes boy regretted that and said,” Oh God, if I had a helicopter, I would be so happy!”
In the meantime, another boy was passing by the Mercedes on his own BMW bike and regretted that if he had this car he would be so happy. Then a boy with a bicycle was crossing there, saw the BMW biker and regretted that if he had a bike like that he would be so great. Then another man was passing through that area by walking and he regretted like all of them; if he had a bicycle he would be so happy. Here comes the last man who was passing through that man by sitting in his wheelchair and was regretting that if he had his legs his life would be more beautiful.
Everyone is demanding more by seeing others’ up-level lifestyles. In the meantime, they don’t actually realize that they belong to a position which is far far better than many other people. They just need to open their eyes and look around. Now back to that example. Imagine all the characters from the bottom. Who is lucky? Isn’t everyone lucky in their own position? We just all need to be satisfied with what we have and show gratitude for this always. Then this suffering would be less and you will find some mindfulness in your life.
Another thing is we always think about our past and future and forget about our present. We need to focus on our present moment. Our present is what eventually will become the past , so if we make our present time great then our past will be great too. So, we won’t have anything to regret about the past. The future becomes the present. So, forget about the future. If you are doing great in your every present moment there will be nothing to worry about in the future.
When you feel depressed, talk with your close people who will listen to you and understand you. Sometimes, free yourself from your chaotic position, switch off everything. You can take a break from social media, isolate yourself from digital gadgets like mobile phones, tablets, laptops etc. Try practicing dopamine detox, it is very rewarding. Try to give yourself some personal time. Spend some time with nature. Pack your stuff and head out for a fun trip. You can also practice meditation to bring your mind to a peaceful position.
This is your life. You should maintain this in an amazing way. Be grateful for your life. Be present at the present moment. Once a time is gone, it will never come back in your life.
Always be happy, try to smile and make people smile. Life is so beautiful.
