Travelling has been a passion of many people around the world or countries. At the time of holidays or weekends, travel agencies are in a massive rush. Dhaka, the capital of our country, has been such a city where this happens often. People from cities and villages travel to the farthest corners within the country and abroad. The dynamics of the travel industry is changing. This happens because of the rapid growth pressure. Nowadays people from urban areas have been using online travel agencies to fulfill their dream of traveling to distant places. Online travel agencies scale far better than offline travel agencies.

ShareTrip is one of the several companies that grasped the idea to lead this epic transformation. It is one of the leading and most important companies in the premises of Bangladesh. Certain challenges like COVID became non challenging to this company. Its phenomenal growth has contributed to the OTA industry growth in the country.

In July, 2019 the ShareTrip finally arose into being when Travel Booking Bangladesh rebranded. However, alongside the rebranding, much more has changed. TBBD was a major online business but with an offline travel agency. ShareTrip stretched that range of vision and placed itself as an OTA. It continued the growing online market alongside the  offline travel agency business. The move has compensated everything. Today, ShareTrip is the presiding player in the vertical industries.

TBBD founders, the husband-wife duo Kashef Rahman and Sadia Haque, both worked in the telecom operators. On holidays, they used to save up money to travel around the globe. Kashef Rahman’s skills on guidebook journey tours caught his friend’s and family’s attention. Their dream started small to start working on a website changing the offline dynamics to online. That was the ingenuity for commencing with TBBD which later became ShareTrip.

In 2018, TBBD turned into a part of DataBird which was a corporation with operations in multiple verticals. In 2019, TBBD formally rebranded to ShareTrip and started as an online-first travel services company. ShareTrips’ growth has tripled in the last two years. Beginning in a one-room workplace, it now operates from a 12,000 square-foot of studio work space with 250 qualified and licensed workers. In the latest interview with The Business Standard, Sadia Haque, the co-founder and CEO of ShareTrip, converses about the process and range of the company, its growth, and future plans and thoughts.

ShareTrip, the most significant online travel assemblage in the country, has made extraordinary and exceptional treads since its launch in 2019. In just four years, it has grown to become the most wide reaching plan of action in the nation. Alongside,  with the corporation’s app already having been downloaded and transposed over 670,000 times.

ShareTrip has won the World Travel Awards fourth time in a row. This leading company has won awards in contrasting categories that includes “Bangladesh’s Leading Online Travel Agency 2022” and “Bangladesh’s Leading Travel Agency 2022”. ShareTrip’s engaging endeavor has outshone other travel agencies in recent times. ShareTrip Agent is the country’s first online travel aggregator app for travel agents.
