The education system is changing, walking side by side with the changing world. The education system is driving toward digitalization day by day. But is the modern education system better than the old one? Or is the teacher-centric education system better? The debate has been going on for years. Well, first, let’s find out some information about traditional education and modern education systems.

Traditional Education System

It is an education system where teachers are the main source of gaining knowledge. It focuses on textbooks, structured lectures, and memorization. In this system, students have to go into the classroom physically. The classroom has a blackboard or whiteboard to write lectures for teachers. It is a conventional method of education. In this system, moral values are also recognized and taught. It emphasizes foundational and theoretical knowledge in core subjects like science, math, geography, etc. Teachers are highly educated and skilled to deliver their lectures in this sector. But the problem is, they recognize all students as being in the same category. And teach them the same things in the same way.

Modern Education System

It is a student-oriented education system that focuses on developing students’ soft skills by using digital technologies. In this system, digital tools like a projector, PC, digital whiteboard, etc. are highly used. Moreover, students depend on PDF books more than textbooks. With the help of platforms like Google Meet & Zoom students can grow their skills and creativity virtually. AI-based learning is also part of modern education. Now, students can find answers to any unknown topic by using AI tools. It can be said that digitalization and the student-oriented modern sector make the education system more fruitful and effective for students.

So what do you think now? Which is best?

Actually, the answer is both are best from their sides. The blend of traditional and modern sectors can bring efficiency to the education sector. No one can only rely on the modern sector, though it has huge advantages. This is because one cannot obtain sufficient knowledge from only virtual platforms. Maybe he can read easily from home, but he cannot get the actual test of knowledge if he doesn’t learn hand-in-hand with other students. Also, a highly qualified teacher can impart much more knowledge physically than on any virtual platform. So, is that modern system a waste of knowledge? Isn’t it essential at all?

The modern education system is also important. It is always easy for students to learn from a projector-based class. But the class should be provided physically. With the help of technology, it is easy for students to note down important topics on their mobile. They can obtain notes from friends by using technology like a mobile phone’s camera. The modern system can help students to drive into more opportunities and more exploration. It can help students learn diversity by engaging them globally.

So, it can be said that the blend of traditional and modern education systems can create more engaging, more effective, and more future-oriented opportunities that students can achieve.
