The Erasmus Mundus Programme provides EU-funded scholarships for Third Country students who have applied to and have been accepted by the Master Course. There are around 22 grants available each year. It is a fully-funded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship that is open for applications in European Universities for all international students.  

The minimum CGPA requirement varies from program to program. If your CGPA meets the minimum requirement of the program.  The medium of instruction of all of the EMJMD programs is in English, so an official English language test report is required.   The minimum grade average required to receive an Erasmus+ scholarship is 3.49. 

There is no age limit. As long as one fulfills all the criteria one should be eligible. 

Erasmus Mundus is a European Union program that supports joint Master’s Degrees. The scholarship covers tuition fees, insurance, a contribution towards student travel, monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration.  The duration of the program is two.  Such as

  • 2 years for Masters and
  •  3 years for the Doctoral program.

Eligibility 

  • Scholarship students must have already obtained a first higher education degree. That means that scholarship applicants must hold a higher education degree by 15 January 2023 to start the program in 2023.
  • Students who have already obtained an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMD) scholarship or are former Erasmus Mundus Master/Doctoral Course scholarship holders are not eligible for an additional scholarship under the EMJMD action. 
  • The list of countries whose nationals are eligible for a scholarship is presented here. Not more than 25% of the total number of scholarships available will be awarded to program-country students. 
  •  A full and timely application is required for any application to be considered.  

Under Erasmus regulations, Erasmus students are not charged tuition fees in the European institution that they attend.  However there may be other charges to pay to the university, and of course, there are costs involved in living abroad. A person may need to budget for flights, accommodation, food, and other expenses.
