The Fulbright Foreign Student Program provides scholarships to Bangladeshi young professionals to study graduate-level courses in the US, specifically for employees in Bangladeshi universities, research organizations, consultancy firms, and non-governmental organizations. The program covers various fields such as higher education, public health, business, economics, public policy, environmental sciences, urban planning, arts, psychology, security studies, biological and physical sciences, social sciences, and humanities. The Embassy is accepting applications from young academics and professionals.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Candidates must have a complete bachelor’s degree with an outstanding academic record.
- Not currently enrolled in a U.S. degree program or holds a degree from a U.S. college or university.
- Not eligible if the applicant holds a master’s degree from any foreign country but those are eligible if holding Bangladeshi master’s degrees.
- Must have at least two years of full-time professional experience relevant to their previous study area and future study program.
- Must be fluent in English required minimum iBT TOEFL score of 90 or IELTS 7.0.
- Must be a Bangladeshi citizen and need to stay in Bangladesh at the time of application.
- Required to submit a comprehensive online application.

- The document includes academic transcripts and certificates from each post-secondary institution attended, including bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
- Three recommendation letters submitted and uploaded by the referees onto the online application portal (prospective candidates must register their referees through the “Recommender Registration” button on the online application site).

- Valid TOEFL / IELTS score.
- Valid GRE or GMAT Score if available.
