Anthropology is the study of human societies and cultures and their development. Anthropology is a very important and necessary subject for Bangladesh and abroad.

Anthropology is the science of human beings. But its scope is wider than other human sciences. Research in this science is done on people spread all over the world. Anthropology also covers the study of human evolution and cultural development over millions of years.

Anthropology studies people from a holistic perspective. Different types of people and their various experiences are the subject of study by anthropologists.

Anthropologists try to identify and explain the common characteristics of a particular human community. These characteristics can be human characteristics or social norms.

One of the major branches of anthropology is physical anthropology. Physical anthropology deals with the appearance of humans on Earth and their subsequent physical evolution.

The second major branch of anthropology is cultural anthropology. Cultural anthropology is again divided into three sub-disciplines: archaeology, ethnolinguistics, and astronomy. All these three sub-disciplines deal with different aspects of human culture.

From these one can understand the way of thinking and behavior of a particular society. Anthropological research helps people become more tolerant.

Why do people of other nations behave differently culturally and physically? Anthropology gives its scientific explanation. Cultural practices and practices that may seem wrong or unseemly to us may be the result of adaptations to particular environmental or social conditions.

Anthropology deals with such questions as “what people do, why they do it, how they do it, and what are the consequences of it.” Just as sociology deals with all the problems and issues of society, it gives theories, just like the work of anthropology with people.

What does an anthropologist do?

Anthropologists devote their careers to the study of human cultures and societies and the ways these structures develop.

Depending on their specialty they might find and analyze ancient artifacts in the field, investigate ancient and modern languages, and the organization of groups such as religions, political groups, and social affiliations.

These are some steps of how to become an anthropologist-

  1. Earn a degree-

Complete an undergraduate program at a college or university. Many institutions offer a major in anthropology. The speciality areas of focus vary between each college and university.

  1. Choose a specialty-

  1. Prepare for interviews-

There is a good way to prepare for your interview is to practice interview questions by yourself.. First, you have to collect all the materials. Then prepare yourself for the post, after the interview ask them for feedback on your responses so that you can make improvements.

Anthropologists need free movement in every field of education. Although anthropology is a discipline, its scope of knowledge is vast.
