He was born on September 25, 1925. He is a business legend in Bangladesh. He was born in Aruba Kandi, Gopalganj. He first opened a small pharmacy near Aruakandi in Pavne, 160 km from Dhaka, the capital of northwest Bangladesh. Then in 1958, he organised a pharmaceutical partnership with three friends. In 1958 Square started touring with only 17,000tk. Samson invested 5000 tk in “Esons”.
He added another 2000 to the total. Three other friends contributed 2-3k taka each, bringing the total capital to 17,000 takes. For the first three years, Square was unprofitable. As a result, the four partners had to invest more money, and the total investment increased to Tk 80,000 in the third year.
Square barely made a small profit in its fourth year of business, and that was the start. He never looked back. He named the company “Square“. He named it because he said it had the perfect meaning of the word quality. Because the company strives for quality production. Square is currently one of the leading companies in Bangladesh. Samson H. Chowdhury is a true hero of the old business. He always believed that there are no shortcuts to success.
