What is writing? Writing actually means stories, essays, novels, and dramas, that is, expressing one’s feelings or experiences through writing, and presenting them to the reading community. In other words, we can say that our acquired knowledge is expressed through writing to the reading society. And this reading society is the public, even the writer himself is a reader.
One of the best things about writing is that anyone can be a writer. There are no obstacles. However great writers have created different worlds of writing with their own techniques. So writers can be divided into 2 categories. There is a type of writer who writes for fame. Another type of writer is those who write for money. But in my opinion, a great writer is someone who writes for the reader and writes for the welfare of society.
So there are some things we need to keep in mind while writing. Keep the following points in mind while writing. This will help you a bit.
- First let’s talk about failure. Many of us sit down to write and walk away from writing without success. I tell them, to be patient, success does not come in a day. Prepare yourself for criticism and failure. Stick to writing.
- Many of us can’t find a topic while writing. Topics are all around you. Look for topics from nature and your surroundings. Don’t write about a subject you have no idea about.
- The writings of many are not printed anywhere. I tell them, try to write about basic content. Avoid over written topics. And if the writing is not published, do not give up.
- Many people suffer from lack of proper pronunciation. Read more, expand your knowledge. Write what you see and feel.
- Keep sentences short. Readers find it difficult to understand long sentences and lose interest in reading. I didn’t just say that you should write short sentences. Write a mixture of short and big sentences.
- When writing, focus on the topic, purpose, or story of the writing, not on grammar. Feel free to use the words that are needed.
- When you write, do it seriously. Make your own meditation and knowledge.
- Before writing about anything, have a good idea about it. Prepare by researching the subject. Before writing something, it is important to gather information about it and understand it.
- Do not show mastery of knowledge. Don’t make the text too informative. If the writer has knowledge in his store, it will be revealed in the writing.
- Many write to be famous, don’t do it. If the writing is good then you will be famous.
- Don’t write for money either. It is not good for writing. Write for readers. Write for the good of society, country.
- Before writing about something, master it completely. Break and build later as needed.
- Bankimchandra Chatterjee said something, “Whatever you write, do not print it suddenly. Leave it for some time. Will correct it after some time. Then you will see that there are many mistakes in the article. Kavya dramas get special excellence if they keep it for two years and then revise it”-
I will not ask to keep it for two years. But if possible, keep it for a couple of months, or even a week. Many errors will come out from it.
- Do not write about obscene and ugly topics. Avoid negative writing and mindset.
- There is a misconception in the society. Many people say that drugs open their heads. This is a complete misconception. Drugs narrow our thinking. Damages the brain. There is more bad than good written in it.
- Bring individuality to your writing. Write for readers in a way they can’t find anywhere else. Your writing should carry your identity.
- Never imitate or copy someone else’s writing. Copying someone else’s writing won’t get you far.
Finally, I will end by saying one more thing. Read!!! Read more. Remember, a reader and a writer are not the same thing. The writer reads the text and thinks, asks questions and finds the answer. So again, read more. Read the books of famous writers of literature. Make them your teachers. Enrich your taste by reading their books. But don’t copy their writing. Write with integrity. Of course your writing will be good.
