Data science is basically a multidisciplinary field where you have to work with statistics, math, computer programming, etc. Data science analyzes large amounts of data and draws insightful conclusions which help businesses and other sectors.
Data science is a career that is expected to explode in the future. Harvard business review has stated being a Data scientist is “The sexiest job of the 21st century”.
In order to become a data scientist, you have to gain knowledge about data, statistics, math, programming, and machine learning.
- BLOCKCHAIN DEVELOPER:
Blockchain development is one of the fastest growing sectors. A Blockchain is a type of database in which information is digitally formated and stored in clusters or blocks . Cryptocurrency technologies use blockchains to store huge amounts of data. A blockchain developer designs, creates, maintains and executes the blockchain .
A blockchain developer must have knowledge about cryptography, data structures, blockchain architecture, web development and programming.
- SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
Software engineering is a branch of computer science in which the engineers build and maintain software applications and systems.
The need for software engineers is going nowhere! Because the more we are becoming dependent on the internet for everything, the more we are going to need people who can program and build softwares, websites and apps.
To become a software engineer, you have to know about programming, computer science, problem solving, software testing and debugging.

Medical profession is one the most irreplaceable professions . AI can be smart but the eye for details and the expertise needed for treating people are very difficult to be found in AI.
A Medical degree is known to be the hardest as it requires extreme detailed knowledge and expertise in particular fields. In the future AI can help in operations and treatment of patients but it can not completely replace the human need. An official from a top healthcare group stated that “Codes can’t cure.”
- DIGITAL MARKETING:
Now-a-days almost everyone has an online presence. As the consumers are all here, more and more businesses are becoming online-based. In order to reach potential customers online, digital marketing is a must! Digital marketing or online marketing is promoting a brand, product or service by using websites , emails and social media to gain a larger audience.
In order to become a digital marketing expert, you should know about SEO, marketing in general, how businesses work, how to reach potential customers etc.
6. FINANCIAL MANAGERS AND PLANNERS:
Financial managers are the main strategist of a company’s financial growth. They provide the company by performing data analysis and giving profit maximizing ideas. As this profession requires emotional intelligence and strategy, it cannot be replaced by AI.
The US Bureau of Labour Statistics projects 17% employment growth for financial managers between 2021 and 2031.
It is preferable that the financial managers come from a finance or related field like – Mathematics, Economics, Accounting etc.
Analytical skills, logical thinking and problem solving skills are needed for this profession.
- CYBER SECURITY EXPERT:
As our online presence is increasing day by day, the businesses, the jobs, the education- everything is becoming online now. So now it is a must to have cyber security in every website and app in order to ensure safety from threats, hackers, viruses and malwares.
A cyber security expert monitors, detects and analyzes security systems and protects the system from threats and vulnerabilities.
- AI AND MACHINE LEARNING EXPERT:
After talking all about the careers that are unlikely to be replaced by AI , now we’re talking about the “Employment-enemy” – artificial intelligence itself!
No matter how advanced artificial intelligence is, it is still an “ARTIFICIAL” thing. It needs management, servicing, programming and a lot of maintenance.
An application of AI called machine learning allows systems to learn from their past performance without having to be explicitly programmed. The goal of machine learning is to create computer programs that can access data and use it to acquire knowledge on their own. So in a futuristic world the importance of machine learning is going to increase.
Although a lot of jobs are going to disappear, these above discussed professions are going to be needed in the future more and more. So choose a career based on your interest and build up your skillset on it!
