“Every journey begins with single steps. Start small, stay consistent and most importantly, embrace your true self with confidence”Rimsha Iqbal

Rimsha Iqbal is a content creator at ‘Uziboozie’ and a professional esports player. She has not only made a mark in esports but also used her platform to inspire and empower others, especially women. Her passion for gaming shows that true success is about more than just victories- it is about impact and inclusivity. YSSE is thrilled to have her reflect on her incredible journey.

YSSE: Hello ma’am! Could you start by telling us about yourself- your educational background and current work?

Rimsha Iqbal: I completed my O’levels through the British Council and my GED at PIE a while back. Rather than pursuing higher education, I decided to concentrate entirely on gaming. I committed myself to building a career as a professional esports player. At the moment, I create gaming content and stream my games live for my audience. I am also an active player on an esports team.

YSSE: How old were you when you started gaming?

Rimsha Iqbal: My journey into gaming began at the age of six. Back in 2004-2005, my dad was an avid gamer himself. As a tech and PC enthusiast, he introduced me to the gaming world, and even got me my first personal computer! It sparked a passion that lasted ever since.

YSSE: How did it capture your interest?

Rimsha Iqbal: As a tomboy, I was passionate about real-life sports and PC games. My love for gaming started when I would see my cousin and dad gaming. Since my cousin and I were the same age we would often play together and dive into the new game releases. We were always eager to explore the latest trends. I vividly remember watching him play a multiplayer game called Call of Duty 4: Promod. At that time, I had no idea what multiplayer gaming was. However, when I saw how so many players could compete and play together within the same server, that is when it all clicked for me. Back in 2013, that is where my competitive journey began, and set the foundation for everything that followed.

YSSE: Your Facebook page, Uziboozie, is such a fascinating name! What’s the story behind it?

Rimsha Iqbal: The name came about quite spontaneously. In Call of Duty 4, I was known for my love of the Mini-uzi, a weapon that became my signature in the game. I took ‘uzi’ from there, and somehow ‘boozie’ just felt like the perfect rhyme. That is how ‘Uziboozie’ came to be.

YSSE: What is the story behind the formation of Team Celestials?

Rimsha Iqbal: The idea of forming a team came to life with the announcement of the first female Valorent online tournament, in 2021. I had known Moxie, Athena, and Sidiscrazy for quite a while, so after discussing the possibility of forming a team, we decided to invite Felecia to be part of us. With our lineup complete, we were ready to compete. Our shared ambition to compete in the women’s championship and show what we are capable of was unstoppable. Making the team was the only way forward, and we were willing to do whatever it took to make it happen.

YSSE: In 2023, Team Celestials made history by winning Bangladesh’s first female Valorant LAN Championship. In 2024, the team became a finalist in the Valorant Game Changers South Asia Finals, and recently, you secured victory at the eBlaze Championship 2025 – Women’s Series Valorant Season 3. Alongside these milestones, you hosted a charity stream—setting remarkable examples! How do you feel about these achievements?

Rimsha Iqbal: Team CELESTIALS has consistently raised the bar in competitive Valorent, proving time and again that we are unstoppable. From securing victory in the Bangladesh Female Valorant LAN Championship in 2023 to reaching the Valorant Game Changers South Asia Finals in 2024, our journey has been remarkable. Our latest triumph at the eBlaze championship in the 2025- Women’s Series Valorent Season 3, establishes our legacy further, as we have remained undefeated in every eBlaze tournament to date. Our journey is not just about winning titles- it is about making a difference. Through charity streams we have extended our impact beyond esports, proving that true success lies between both achievement and generosity! Achieving back-to-back championships is an incredible feeling! It stands as a true reflection of our dedication and teamwork. We are immensely proud and ready to take on whatever comes next!

The story is not over yet! Be sure to catch Part 2 of the interview.
