Every rider can find their ideal motorcycle in the BMW Motorrad series. The 2022 BMW R 18 Transcontinental and the 2022 BMW R 18 B are the two versions in the BMW Motorcycle Heritage series.

There might be a lot of disagreement among bike fans on whether to choose a cruiser or another type of sports bike. While owning the latter can be helpful. But, choosing a conventional sports bike for riding on roads may be a mistake.

Cruisers have intriguing positions and styles that set them apart from the competition. It is one of the many factors contributing to these bikes’ enormous popularity in Western nations. And they’re quick to spread throughout the globe.

Cruiser bikes are more pleasurable to ride than sports bikes. The gasoline tanks on cruisers have a bigger capacity, ranging from 13 to 20 liters. The cruiser has a lower center of gravity than other sports bikes. And it gives the user more control than other bikes.

The world’s cruiser bikes are renowned for their powerful engines. Almost all cruiser bikes have been created to perform well in the low and mid-range. Compared to other sports bikes, changing the oil is quicker on cruisers as no covers need to be removed.

The starting price for the BMW R18 cruiser bike in Bangladesh is around 25 lakh. The 1802 cc BS6 engine that powers the BMW R18 produces 158 Nm of torque and 89.84 horsepower. The BMW R18 has an anti-lock braking system along with front and rear disc brakes. This R18 motorcycle weighs 345 kg and features a 16-liter fuel tank.

The R18 is the sole cruiser offered by BMW Motorrad. The company has been letting us see the bike in many concept variants for months before releasing the final production model. The wait was good because the production version isn’t much different from the design and looks gorgeous.

The 1936 BMW R5 cruiser served as an influence for the R18’s design, which is stunning from every viewpoint. The motorcycle features a spherical headlamp, a single-pod instrument cluster, a gasoline tank shaped like a peanut, and a chopped rear fender.

The dual fishtail-like exhausts that spiral out of the powerful boxer mill are the R18’s principal point of design distinction. The scooped seat, wide handlebar, and forward-set foot pegs all suggest that it is designed to provide good ergonomics.

The motorbike is powered by a massive 1,800 cc boxer-twin engine that is the biggest boxer-twin BMW has ever fitted to a production bike. It is air & oil-cooled. It produces 158 Nm at 3,000 rpm and 91 bhp at 4,750 rpm. It should be enjoyable to ride both in the city and on the highway because the majority of that performance is supplied at the lower end, between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm. A six-speed gearbox is connected to the engine.

The R18 has a lot of features, making it a typical BMW model. There are also three riding modes—Rain, Rock, and Roll—heated grips, switchable automatic stability control, complete LED lighting, cornering lights, engine drag torque management, and reverse gear on the list.

Contrarily, it has very simple cycle components. Telescopic forks and a cantilever strut with adjustable damping and spring preload support the R18. Dual 300-mm front discs and a single disc at the rear are used for braking.
